Mission:
The mission of the UMA Alumni Association is: to promote university excellence; to provide services to the alumni; to work closely with the University's Office of the President and/or designated offices, and the UMA Board of Visitors to develop sources of revenue to support the University's overall mission; to promote positive relations between the campuses of the University of Maine at Augusta and their communities; and to communicate and coordinate initiatives with the UMA Board of Visitors for the betterment of the University.

As officers of the UMA Alumni Association, we're excited to tell you we're in the process of developing a stronger Alumni Program to better connect you to UMA and your former classmates and faculty members. We have lots in store, including more alumni events and the development of a special, new Alumni Newsletter.
As an alumnus, you should already be receiving UMA's newsletter, Moose Print, and our e-newsletter, E-Moose, as well as invitations to special UMA events. If you're not, it means we probably don't have your most current contact information.

UMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION NEWS
September 3, 2008
Elections at the August 26, 2008 UMA Alumni Association meeting created a full Board of Directors. The following alumni will serve until the next annual meeting which is currently scheduled for April
2009: Nathan Grant, Bev Ludden, Peggi Loveless, Marc Harrington, Julie Harrington, Donna Demmonds, Casey Harris, President; Mike Martin, Vice- President; Kathleen King, Secretary; and Kelly Deprez, Treasurer.
The next Alumni Association Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 5 p.m. in the large conference room, Richard Randall Student Technology Center. Included on the agenda for this meeting is a vote for a new fee structure for membership to the Alumni Association. The
proposed fee structure is as follows: first year free, $25.00 each year thereafter, and the opportunity to purchase an inaugural lifetime membership for $250.00 All friends and alumni are invited to attend any future meetings.
